Tasker app updates come roughly every two weeks, and we’ve recently made so many great changes that we had to highlight 19 of the best. Check them out below!
1. Category UI changes
The “My Skills” section is now organized to better show your skills and let you add new ones by category. During the process, you can also see which skills currently have the highest demand.
2. New Tasker workshop
Access the New Tasker Workshop directly from the Tasker app to kickstart your business. Completing it will unlock your ability to have 1-on-1 calls with our Tasker Success team!
3. Pricing guidance update
Suggested Tasker rates are now centered in the “green” zone of pricing guidance for balanced recommendations.
4. Price sorting update
Clients can now toggle between both lowest-to-highest and highest-to-lowest pricing for Tasker search results. This will help them more easily find the best Tasker to fit their needs.
5. Introducing the “Performance” tab
With a simple click into your new “Performance” tab, you can quickly access your business data and tasking insights.
6. Streamlined work area
New Taskers can now easily set a work area during registration to start tasking as quickly as possible.
7. Photos in “Task Details”
Easily access photos from chat stored in each task’s “Task Details” screen, which can now be a one-stop shop for scoping and completing tasks.
8. Task cancellation improvements
You no longer need to contact support to change a cancellation reason—do it from your “Task Details” screen! Still, keep in mind that it’s usually best to reschedule a task instead of canceling.
9. Tasker app support chatbot
Use a self-service chatbot to ask common questions or make requests. The goal is to give you a smoother experience as you build your business!
10. Improved country selection
After hearing your feedback, we’ve added a quick and easy registration step to prevent accidental registrations in the wrong country.
11. Two-factor authentication (2FA)
This keeps your account secure whenever you’re accessing or updating sensitive information. This includes your personal information, banking information, and account password.
12. Tasker referral program
Refer friends and family to become Taskers directly in the Tasker app (in applicable metros). You can share from your “Announcements” inbox, profile settings, or Elite dashboard (if you’re Elite).
13. Manage bank account details
Easily access and edit your financial information from the profile tab. This makes editing your financial information a breeze!
14. Increased character limits
You now have 500 characters instead of 250 to write your Skills & Experience descriptions. This gives you double the space, which will help especially when you need to show you’re multilingual.
15. New chat support experience
Use our new live support chat experience to get help as quickly as possible when needed.
16. Expense capping
The amount you can charge for expenses is now capped in multiple categories. These caps will help protect you and your clients from fraudulent activity.
17. Background check process update
Enjoy more clarity, an improved user flow, and faster turnaround during background checks.
18. Clearer Tasker avatars
Your Tasker avatar (a.k.a. profile photo) now displays with more clarity and improved sharpness on our web platform, which clients typically access on a computer screen.
19. Boosted onboarding
New Taskers can now feel empowered by viewing a showcase of information during registration that outlines their earning potential and offers skill demand insights.
